In the course of a joint Canada/France program devoted to the recovery of Kuiper Belt Objects and the follow-up of Near-Earth Asteroids with the 3.6-m CFH Telescope, the object A65445, now C/1998 K5, has been imaged for checking its nature, on a request from B. Marsden (MPC).
A65445 is definitely a comet... The image below is a 1mn exposure with
the telescope following the comet motion.
The tail is clearly seen, and extends over around 30".
