The ADASS'99 conference will take place on Sunday, 3 October through Wednesday, 6 October; most activities will take place at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. More information on the program is available on the Detailed Program page.
Conference TopicsIn addition to the traditional program of talks, posters and demonstrations, the conference also features two optional tutorials and two optional tours. Please note that this year the conference itself will run for three full days.There will be a reception at the Hilton Waikoloa Village, Sunday evening, 3 October. Invited and contributed oral papers will be presented all day Monday, Tuesday, and on Wednesday. Monday evening, after a break for dinner, there will be several Birds-Of-a-Feather sessions.
Tuesday evening, 5 October, there will be a conference banquet (luau) at the Water's Edge Restaurant at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. A Hawaiian style feast in the cool of a tropical night. The meeting officially ends on Wednesday, 6 October at 5:30pm. Further information is available on the Program at a Glance and Detailed Program page.

Birds Of a Feather Sessions (BOFs)The meeting agenda consists of invited and contributed talks and poster sessions. The special topics of the conference are reflected in the choice of the invited speakers. So far, 16 speakers have accepted invitations for talks on specific topics. A list of topics and speakers can be found on the Conference Topics and Invited Speakers page. Note, this list is being finalized and is subject to change.
Birds-Of-a-Feather sessions (BOFs) are informal sessions organized by ADASS participants, centered on various special interests. When these are finalized the topics will be listed on the Birds-Of-a-Feather page. Please take time to visit this page as it is also the link to participate in the survey.
Tutorials
On Sunday afternoon, 3 October, Tutorial sessions on Software Process Improvement for Practitioners, and The Software Engineering Laboratory's Recommended Approach for Developing Software, will be sponsored (see the tutorials page for details). Early registration is recommended as class sizes will be limited. There is an additional fee of $30 for the tutorials which includes a snack break.
