We do not observe the Sun at CFHT, but since this year is the maximum of an eleven year sunspot cycle, we thought it would be fun to show students the sun complete with its spots.

All that was needed was a telescope, and a screen on which to safely project the (bright!) image of the Sun.

The result? A bright disk on which dark spots show up!
