2013 Calendar description

This year, CFHT has once again teamed up with Coelum to deliver a calendar of stunning astronomical images. These twelve gorgeous, true-color images obtained by the MegaCam wide-field CCD imaging camera not only decorate walls with vibrant and living colors, they also illustrate brillantly the rich and complex structures populating our Universe.

The twelve objects found in this year's calendar are: The Andromeda galaxy, Supernova remnant NGC 6979, Interacting galaxies NGC 4410, Spiral galaxies NGC 4411a-b, Star forming region NGC 2170, Edge-on spiral NGC 891, Galactic bulge LDN 10, Spiral galaxy NGC 2403, Emission nebula NGC 2239, Reflection nebula NGC 7023, Star forming region NGC 2174, Spiral galaxy Messier 91.
