CFHT Interference Filter Database Code Explanation for Visible Filters

A numbering system has been adopted to organize the filter database. The
filters are numbered based on a 4 digit code.The following diagram explains
the coding system for the visible filters. The system for the IR filters is
similar, and is explained on the
IR code page.

| | ------- order sequence # (4th filter with 15 as prefix)

| ---------- first number of central wavelength (5430 Ang)

------------- size and/or instrument to be used with:
1 : 50.8x50.8 mm will fit in FOCAM
2 : 50.8x50.8 mm will NOT fit in FOCAM
3 : 50.8 mm round
4 : 76.2 mm round (Fabry-Perot, MOS/SIS)
7 : 85.0, 152.4 mm sq(MOCAM, UH8k) or
165x250 mm (CFH12k)
9 : 300 mm square (MegaPrime)
