Hello,

Just an update on what I know about the Fantomm run so far.....

- The instrument should be shipped from Montreal on March 13th. Schedule
has it arriving in Honolulu on the next day. Roger is planning to bring
it up to the summit on March 18. We'll see accordingly.

- Olivier Hernandez and some another grad student will arrive at the
summit on March 27, for opening the boxes and start the setup with Todd
and cie.

- This time, they will use their own etalon. I think they plan to use our
CS100 (but they have changed their mind before....) so one of the first
thing to do will be to check that it works well with our controller. Not
an issue if they decide to ship their own controller, of course....

- Fabrication of an additional mask slide holder is underway in France. I
do not think they will be able to ship it before the run and one of the
observers will arrive with it. It is NOT a critical component, just a
mean to improve observing efficiency. Hopefully, it will work.

- As with last time, they will need our air compressor. They are going to
ship their air drying system, so they will need 220/50 in the telescope
room. Last time, this was installed next to the South pier.

- We should install their computers in the back room this time, to avoid
a very crowded control room. Access to MOS Pegasus will be mandatory for
moving the filters. As with last time, Gumball lamps should be operated
by hand. I have requested two PC monitors to be available
at the summit at that time.

Note that I will not be here between March 11- March 26 ( I should read
my mail). For any questions about handling and the setup, please contact
Greg or Todd.

Thanks.

Pierre
