Observing Assistant #1: Woodworth
Observing Assistant #2: Select
Instrument: GECKO/CAFE
Detector: EEV1
Number of nights: 3
# of hours lost to weather: 0
# of hours lost to CFHT: 0
# of hours lost to setup: 1
# of hours lost to other reasons: 0
Results obtained: We obtained detection of the CH molecule at 4300 \AA
for 12 stars in the MW disk. These observations,
along with others observations obtained in the
southern hemisphere will allow us to conduct the
first large survey of the HD molecule (FUSE).
Scientific Success: excellent
Recommendations: From the moment we get to HP and drive to CFHT
to the observing everything is like in a dream.
Problems start to appear in the kitchen.
Well, the kitchen is not the most important place
in the observatory but ... a few decent frozen
dishes, some fruits, some vegetables, real bred
somewhere would make the place so much more
enjoyable!
