Animation of comet Tempel 1 by the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope during the impact
Animation description:

The animations are composite gif images made from 168 images taken during the night of the impact between 5:45 and 9:26 UT. The scaling is logarithmic and the false color scheme was chosen to outline the nucleus morphology evolution. Most images were taken in r and i filters.
