We will be hosting up to 5 families for 2 science nights
which will involve the whole family. Children ages 7 and up with their
parents will spend 1.5-2 hours on 2 evenings doing fun creative and
educational projects about our Moon. We will take you through 3
projects per night where you will learn about moonlore and create your
own story, moon phases, size and separation of the moon-earth system,
how high could you jump on the moon, and what would you need if you
were an astronaut who crash landed on the moon. On the second night, you
will also receive a Moon Mission game which you will play and take
home for future enjoyment. The evenings will be hosted by Lisa Wells,
one of the CFHT Observing Assistants. Dinner will be served before
we begin the night of science fun. If you are interested, call the
CFHT office to sign up at 885-7944. You will be contacted 1-2 weeks
before the event as a reminder.
