We use a sample of Type Ia supernovae within the redshift range 0.2 < z < 0.6 detected with the Supernova Legacy Survey to measure the rate of occurrence per unit volume. Using artificial SNe, we have determined that our survey is greater than 80%25 complete within this redshift range. Because our survey uses 4 widely spaced 1 degree square fields, we can also place a limit on SN Ia rate variation due to large scale structure changes from field to field.
