The wonders of serendipity During on-duty service observations at the VLT, I serendipitously discovered two unusual and curious objects. The first one is a very simple gravitational lensing candidate. The second object is a meteor crossing the slit of the spectrograph during a long exposure. I will present observations, and modelling of these two curious objects.
