Peter Eisenhardt (JPL) Mapping the Infrared Sky with WISE The Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) launched in December 2009, mapped the entire infrared sky in 2010, and made its first major data release to the public on April 14, 2011. Megapixel infrared detector arrays make the WISE survey hundreds to hundreds of thousands of times more sensitive than previous all-sky surveys using only dozens of pixels. I will give an update on WISE's survey of the sky and its search for near Earth asteroids, the coolest brown dwarfs, and the most luminous galaxies in the Universe.
