JJ Kavelaars (CNRC) The CFHT Science Archive at the CADC: past, present and future. The CADC archive contains over 20 years of exposures taken with the CFHT. The oldest observation currently retrievable being an image of 3C 212 taken on 22-Feb-1990. Each week 10s of distinct users retrieve 100s of GBytes of CFHT observations from the CADC. Much of that retrieval makes use of the user authentication system that was developed as part of the CADC's contribution to the CFHT Legacy Survey projects. All of that data has been discovered using the CADC's single search system. In addition, the CADC also provides value-added stacks of the MegaPrime and WIRCAM imagers with those observations having been cited in 100s of scientific papers. In this presentation I will describe the some of the history of the CFHT archive at the CADC, provide some insight into the current operation of the CFHT archive in the CADC, describe the basic roadmap for the future development of the CADC and how the CFHT archive fits into that roadmap.
