Semester 2009B Time Allocation Statistics
Oversubscription
The graph below shows the so-called "pressure" on telescope
time, i.e. the ratio of the number of nights requested over the number
of nights available, over the past semesters for the two main CFHT
users communities, Canada and France.
The graph above shows the number of nights allocated to PIS (Large Programs are excluded) by
Canada (C), France and Opticon (F), Hawaii (H), Taiwan (T), and Brazil (B) over the various
instruments for 2009B.
Proposal Success
The graph above gives the ratio between the number of nights allocated
and requested (PI proposals only) for a given instrument.
It can be interpreted as the
success rate of the proposals on each instrument. Note that statistics for AOB is based on a small number of nights...
Overall instrument allocations
The graph above shows the number of nights allocated to
the communities served by CFHT, PI and Large Programs.
