Abstract: The main observational goal of the CFHTLS-VW project was to discover and track a large ensamble of Kuiper belt objects. This catalog of objects, combined with precise knowledge of their discovery circumstance, could then be used to provide substantial constraints on the evolution of the orbits of the gaint planets, in particular Neptune., , We will present the results of our detailed analysis of the Kuiper belt orbit distribution as determined by the CFEPS observations, including specific constraints on bulk structure of the Kuiper belt. The CFEPS projects reveals, for the first, the location of what was once the nascent Kuiper belt; provides a new, and startlingly different, measure of the fractional size of the resonant populations; and indicates that high-order resonances must play a signifcant role in determining the structure of the Kuiper belt.
