Abstract: Herbig Ae-Be stars are intermediate mass pre-main sequence stars and , surrounded by circumstellar gas and dust, which are most likely distributed , in the form of a rotating disk. To probe the distribution, and kinematics of the gas and dust in the vicinity of Herbig Ae-Be stars , we make use of the spectropolarimetry technique. We conduct a, spectropolarimetric survey toward a sample of Herbig Ae-Be stars using the, spectropolarimeter ESPADONS. We detect clear linear polarisation change across, spectral lines such as the Balmer lines, NaI D doublet and CaII triplet. This, polarisation signature is consistent with the scattering of line photons off, a rotating disk. Using our observational results together with a new , Monte Carlo code we are able to study in more detail the properties of the disks, around Herbig Ae-Be stars. Comparison with previous work is also presented.
