SNIa explosion rate as function of redshift in the Supernova Legacy Survey
Pascal Ripoche, Dominique Fouchez for the Supernova Legacy Survey
Abstract: We present the result of a carefull re-analysis of the detection process in SNLS. Using a fully automated selection combined with a huge detailled Monte-Carlo simulation, we have studied the (in)efficiency of the detection and identification during the three first year of observation. Based on the spectroscopically identified sample of SNIa, we can extrapolate the explosion rate over a wide range of redshift.
