IRTF will soon be equipped with a 36 element curvature system, designed and built by Laplacian Optics. IRTF's new director, Dr. Alan Tokunaga has expressed interest in attending the next `Ohana meeting, and to add IRTF in the `Ohana project. Subaru's director, Professor Ando also gave his approval for the `Ohana committee to get in touch with Dr. Hideki Takami, head of the adaptive optics effort at NAOJ, and Dr. Jun Nishikawa, head of the MIRA 2 interferometer in Japan to assess possible collaborations. Dr Nishikawa already has experience with single mode fibers, as this is one of the recombining modes of the MIRA 2 array.
