Telescope time

As can be seen, phases I and II will require very little (in terms of support, manpower or finance) from the participating observatories. However, some technical time on the sky will be required to test out AO/fiber coupling for phase I and to obtain fringes in phase II. The required time is modest at best (one or two nights - or less! for phase I), and will be useful to each observatory in terms of the AO diagnostics. Phase II may require a little more time (although we suspect less than 10 nights in all), and could be requested through the usual time allocating channels combined with discretionnary or director's time. This is the largest contribution asked from observatories in their participation of `Ohana's first phases. For Phase III, a time request system will have to be worked out whereby specific dates could be requested from the different time allocating committees, but this will depend on each observatory's level of involvement.
