Welcome to the PPP Page - Home of Patep's Dissertation!!
Consonant Duration and Stress Effects on the P-Centers of English Disyllables
Here is an abstract of my dissertation for you to read
before you go whole hog & download the thing.
(All of these are Postscript files because the margins need to be kept
static.Trust me. You wouldn't want your printer settings to mess with the setup.)
To print these at The University of Arizona's CCIT (please do this to
save trees!!) -
- Download the files to your mainframe account (not your hard drive)
Then...
Unix (aruba) People:
- Type the following command to print after downloading:
- prtps -duplex (filename)
Vax (vmsa) People:
- Type the following command to print after downloading:
- locate ccit_io_duplex (return)
- print (filename)
I hope you have as much fun reading the diss as I had writing it.
(yeah, right!)

Many thanks to my mom & the UofAZ Librarians for looking up little
things for this while I was in Chile!! AND if you'd like to see this
document HTML-ized (instead of in PS format as it is now), please let me
know & I'll get on it...

Talia: Ambassador, Ambassador Kosh!
Kosh: There is a question?
Talia: ...and these phrases that you keep speaking in, they don't
make any sense.
Kosh: Ah, you seek meaning? Then listen to the music, not
the song. |
