Re: Meeting approaching + data flow




About the values for the wide survey.  For the moving object work we need
3 repeats in R on each field for IDEAL.  BUT we cann't actually
handle the follow-up load that a 3x4minute survey would create (too many
faint (R=24.0) objects to follow). Our experience with 12k is a limit of
R=24.2 in 0.8'' seeing using 3 x 5 minute exposures... agrees somewhat
with Olivia's limits (S/N=10 is our limit)

For the MEGACAM ecliptic survey we would want the limit to be R=23.3
which requires 3x(1minute+1minute) exposure == 6 minutes / sqr.dg.

110 nights (extra time needed because of the readout)  for single filter.
