CFHT Users' Meeting 2013 - 2nd Announcement

6-8 May 2013, Campbell River, Vancouver Island, Canada

1 February 2013

Registration and abstract submission remain open for the 10th Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Users' Meeting (UM) to be held at Painter's Lodge, Campbell River, BC, on May 6th-8th 2013. The meeting will provide an opportunity to showcase the world leading science undertaken by CFHT users, whether as part of a number of large programs or as PI-led science. In addition, the Executive Director of CFHT recently released an Announcement of Opportunity for the development of new capabilities for the observatory.

In response to this call, the UM will feature a town-hall session featuring presentations by teams intending to submit development proposals in addition to hosting a community discussion of the possible future directions to be taken by the observatory. The 10th CFHT UM therefore represents an important opportunity for the community to reflect upon the considerable scientific achievements of the observatory and its users in addition to engaging actively in the discussion of our future trajectory.
