Title: Time for APERO

Presenter: Neil Cook

Abstract:

APERO is the official data reduction software for SPIRou and is also used for NIRPS on ESO's 3.6m telescope in La Silla. The dual-pipeline approach for NIRPS, along with the shared pipeline between two instruments, has been crucial for refining algorithms, directly comparing methodologies, and identifying key similarities and differences that impact science data quality. Additionally with our LBL package, it has demonstrated, for the first time, that the pipeline can achieve sub m/s precision in the near-infrared. We present updates to the APERO pipeline from version 0.6 to 0.7 and discuss upcoming changes, features we are working on and have planned for version 0.8.
