Large spectroscopic programs offer the unique opportunity to advance our understanding of dark energy, inflation, and dark matter using 3-dimensional maps of stars, galaxies and quasars. The second phase of the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI), DESI-II, starting in 2029 and running for 6 years, will provide new insights into these three key pillars of fundamental physics.
