Title: From Photometry to Spectroscopy: Advancing Milky Way Studies with DECam and DESI

Abstract:
In this poster, I will highlight two complementary science initiatives focused on understanding the Milky Way. First, I will present recent Milky Way science results utilizing broadband photometry from the Dark Energy Camera (DECam), emphasizing key insights and methodologies that could similarly leverage data from CFHT/MegaCam, and the future Rubin/LSST. Second, I will provide an overview of the DESI Milky Way Survey (MWS), detailing its current status, scientific objectives, and future observational plans. This combined approach demonstrates the synergy between imaging and spectroscopic surveys in advancing our knowledge of Galactic structure and evolution.
