Title: ANUBIS: A Northern sky U-Band Imaging Survey

Abstract:
ANUBIS, A Northern sky U-Band Imaging Survey proposes a u-band survey of the entire northern sky with CFHT MegaCam. This survey would extend the u-band portion of CFIS/LUAU. The goal of LUAU was to combine CFHT u-band with the Pan-STARRS grizy photometry to trace stellar populations and stellar streams at high galactic latitude. Extending this survey down into the plane of the galaxy would provide more insights into the rather different stellar populations there. The CFHT data would be combined with the Pan-STARRS data set, but also with the UKIRT Hemispheric Survey to provide a pan-chromatic survey extending from u to K-band. Together with LSST in the south, this survey would provide definitive u-band coverage for the entire sky. This survey would include members of the Canadian, French and Hawaiian communities.
