Guidelines for UH participation in the CFHT Community Surveys
Interested members of the UH community will have the opportunity to
participate in the CFHT Community Surveys under the following
guidelines.
- They must propose for, and follow the rules for, a UH Large
Collaborative Program for which the rules are spelled out in the UH TAC
Procedures, July 2022 available on the IfA internal web pages.
- The proposal should be consistent with the relevant Community Survey
proposal and the UH Large Collaborative Program (UHLCP) team should
participate in the relevant Community Survey proposal development.
- Graduate students and postdocs of UHLCP team members are included
automatically in the UHLCP.
- The UH TAC will follow its procedures and decide whether and how
much time to award a given UHLCP team.
- Under the present rules a UHLCP can only be for a maximum of three
years, but a subsequent proposal is allowed. Thus the commitment to the
Community Survey will initially be for only three years, with a followup
proposal for the remaining 3 years of the Community Survey.
- Only successful UHLCP team members and their graduate students and
postdocs will have access to the CFHT Community Survey data prior to
public release.
- If a UHLCP succeeds in being awarded time by the UH TAC, the PI of
the UHLCP will be the point of contact with the CFHT Community Survey
Working Group.
