Right before Christmas we took the little ones to the Monterey Bay aquarium. Didn't take too many pictures, and to make matter worse I didn't even bother changing the settings on the camera so most of the images are a bit out of focus or simply blurred from having fast moving objects imaged with a shutter that didn't open and close fast enough. So you might be better off looking at the small pictures, except for the last few. I left out all the pictures that had refletions on the exhibit glass or were just complete junk.

Well the first set of pictures were all done at the outer bay exhibit, this has one of the largest windows in the world. The first two pictures, are attempted pictures of the Great White Shark that they have had at the Aquarium. They are taken on the Sharks 100th day in captivity. The big versions are quite blurry. In the second picture you can see some mahi-mahi swimming near the shark.

There were also a few green sea turtles in the exhibit

Along with many tuna

One of the other exhibits had a sheephead fish, some anchovies, and an eel among other things. You can decide which picture goes with which type of animal.

There were some penguins at the zoo in a very humid exhibit. The first image is a wide angle view taken from a few feet away from the window so that you can get an idea of how much moisture was on the window. The second image is a little closer to the window and more focused on the actual penguins. This second one may look ok in the big version.

Last and definitely not least is one of the pictures that I spent a little time on getting just right. It is a close up picture of some seahorses. I wonder if they mow lawns.

And the view outside the back of the aquarium looking into Monterey Bay
