May 2006 - The Scientific Advisoy Council of CFHT was in Montreal. I spent the day before in the country side to prepare the meeting, especially to make the schedule of the telescope for the  coming semester. I found a few hours, interlaced with trying to make sense of the programs to be observed at the observatory, to activate these four lights all seen from the small harbour of Ste Anne de Sorel, on the Saint Lawrence, south bank downstream Montreal.

May 2006 - The Scientific Advisoy Council of CFHT finally over on the Friday afternoon, I spent the evening in Lachine to re-acivate the Lachine lighthouses. I ended at night and it was getting pretty cold (at least seen from an Hawaiian perspective). This time, I used one of the light poles to string up the G5RV, as I could not fin any drift wood close to the boat ramp (unlike in 2005 below).

May 2005 - The Annual Meeting of the Canadian Astronomical Society brought me back to the "belle provinde de Quebec" for a short visit to Montreal.
I found a few hours to activate the Lachine lighthouses.

May 2002 - Thanks to a trip to Quebec for my work in May 2002, I was able to spend a few hours to activate two lights on the St Lawrence waterway.
Usual setting: DX70, a small tuner and a G5RV,  using the power from the battery of the rental car.

The usual closed gate...

Plenty of trees to hang the G5RV from...
Hard to get closer to the light, but it shining nicely
through the trees.
It's ok with the "Line of Sight" and "less than 1000m" rules!
