CFHT strongly encourages the inclusion of an acknowledgement within papers, posters, press releases, websites, and other published materials, physical or digital, to recognize the contributions of observatory personnel throughout the data acquisition and reduction process, the significance of Maunakea, and the instrumentation used for the research.

The text of the acknowledgment varies by instrument. Versions for all instruments, including MegaCam, can be found on the CFHT Publications page. Use of the standard text is encouraged where space is available. If limited by space, word count, or other parameter, the shorter version may be used.
