Notes from Apr 27 TC.

Present: Yannick, Fred, Herve, Kanoa, JJ, Severin

Meeting was rescheduled from last Wednesday. Only 30 minutes was
available. Discussion was kept brief.

ISSUE: weight_map fitsverify failures. Fred has repaired the master
flat headers so the keywords comply with fitsverify. Similar changes
will have to be made to the versions at CFHT so these problems don't
find there way into the TP processing at a later date.

ACTION: Kanoa will send corrected master-flats to CADC. This is not
a high priority.

Fred has also fixed all the weight maps that had problems with
fitsverify and has initiated transfer of those weight files.

ISSUE: stack transfers. An initial set of 'stack' products were sent
to the CADC. 1 name failure occurred.

ACTION: CADC will alter the name check rules to allow files
called .reg instead of the previous rule of _reg

ACTION: Once CADC notifies TP that name rules have been adjusted TP
will initiate transfer of all stacks available. These transfered
products will not be released until TP gives green light.

ACTION: CADC will alter name rules to allow 2 new sets of survey
names: D-25 and D-85, these are the stacks with the best 25% IQ and
best 85% IQ cuts.

ISSUE: Quality of z-band stacks: The de-fringing for some z-images
is too poor to be acceptable. Use of these images is degrading the
stacks. JCC has investigated the issue and finds that the problem is
caused by strong/rapid variations in the fringe pattern.

ACTION: CFHT will look into a new defringe process. This will not
happen until T0005.

Should TP conduct a processes of 'hand-selecting' images that will be
included as part of the z-band stacks? This will induce a large work
load at TP. Is this needed? Is there an automated way of finding
and rejecting the poor z-band images?

Yannick reported that much W stacks are now down. Hope to have D-25
done for the User meeting. There is some issue with U-band
calibration [not clear from the brief discussion what this problem
is, does this only apply to W stacks or D stacks too?]

END OF MEETING.
