Governance

The CFHT Board of Directors is comprised of ten members, four appointed by the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada, four by the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) of France, and two by the University of Hawai'i. The Board appoints the Executive Director of the Corporation who serves as the executive officer of the Corporation.

Scientific Advisory Council

The Scientific Advisory Council (SAC) consists of ten members appointed by the Board of Directors: four members designated by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), four members designated by the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) of France, and two members designated by the University of Hawai'i. The Scientific Advisory Council provides advice to the Board of Directors and to the Executive Director concerning scientific and technical matters related to the aims of the Corporation.
